Elijah Pritchett, Crimson Tide offensive lineman, arrested for allegedly transmitting STD

Elijah Pritchett, Arrested – Elijah Pritchett, a redshirt freshman offensive lineman, was detained by the Tuscaloosa police department on Wednesday night and charged with knowingly transmitting a sexually transmitted disease from one individual to another. An arrest warrant for Pritchett was obtained and served on Wednesday evening, according to Stephanie Taylor, a spokeswoman for the Tuscaloosa Police Department. Taylor verified that a report was filed the previous week, which led to the issuance of the warrant.

In accordance with Alabama Code ยง 22-11A-21, Pritchett, who is 19 years old, was charged with the offense of knowing transmission of a sexually transmitted disease, which is classified as a Class C misdemeanor. Later on Wednesday, he was released after posting a bond of $500. As a result of the nature of the crime and the legal restrictions that surround medical information, it is highly unlikely that any information regarding the arrest would be made public.

Both on offense and on special teams, Pritchett has been a member of Alabama’s starting lineup for each of the team’s thirteen games thus far this season. On the 15th of December, he had entered his name into the transfer portal; but, on the 16th of December, he removed his name in response to the statement that “transferring is not in my best interest.” Although the 6-foot-6, 312-pound tackle participated in each and every game for Alabama this season, he did not see a significant amount of playing time. In the spring, he was in a position to compete for a job that would let him start working.
