Lawrence J. Voisin, 53-year-old Houma man, arrested And charged with repeated raping of 10-year-old child

Lawrence J. Voisin, Arrested- On Tuesday, December 19, a guy from Houma was taken into custody on suspicions that he had sexually assaulted a kid who was ten years old. The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office has stated that Lawrence J. Voisin, who is 53 years old, was arrested and charged with two charges of first-degree rape. In the state of Louisiana, a conviction for each count carries a sentence of life to life imprisonment in the state prison. On Tuesday, investigators from the sheriff’s office were dispatched to a local school, which is the location where the victim initially reported the alleged sexual abuse.

In a statement, the agency said that “deputies were presented with evidence from the victim to suggest that Voisin was involved in a sexual relationship with the victim.” this material was presented to the deputies by the victim. Investigators from the Special Victims Unit were able to provide evidence that supported the allegations throughout the course of the inquiry.
After that, deputies went to Voisin’s house and arrested him there. After being arrested, he was taken into custody and placed in the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex jail. The judge granted him a bond of $250,000.
