Raymond Leon McRoy, 18-Year-Old from Clarksburg, arrested and charged in relation to Germantown shooting
Raymond Leon McRoy, Arrested – In connection with the shooting that took place in Germantown on Thursday, December 14, 2023, Raymond Leon McRoy, who is 18 years old and is from Clarksburg, has been brought into custody and charged with a number of other felonies. It was approximately 9:30 in the morning when officers from the 5th District responded to the 19500 block of Waters Road in response to a complaint of a shooting that had just taken place, as stated by the administration of the police department.
Upon their arrival, the officers discovered an adult male who appeared to have been shot and was suffering from any kind of injuries the officer could diagnose. The injuries he sustained were not believed to be life-threatening, and he was sent to a hospital in the vicinity. Investigators from the 5th District Investigative Section of the Montgomery County Department of Police determined that McRoy was the one who was responsible for the crime while they were conducting the investigation.
On the 18th of December, 2023, McRoy was brought into custody on the basis of an arrest warrant that had been issued and executed. After his arrival, he was charged with assault, attempted first-degree murder, and crimes involving guns. These charges were brought against him. As an additional point of interest, he is currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, which is the location where he was brought after being arrested.
